“The district has a strong elementary school. The middle school and high school are improving. There are quite a few extracurricular programs including sports, band, math league, chess, juggling, newspaper, an afterschool program on site. The small size of the district is appealing. Academic achievement is somewhat average because of economic demographics of the town, but on par with other schools with similar demographics. Overall, John P. Faber School is a pretty good school with caring teachers and strong parent involvement.”

“This is not the school you want your child to attend if they have learning disabilities. They do not have the experience or curriculm set up for children with special needs. The teacher are nice but 'nice' isn't what the children need to succeed. There are no extracurricular activities and discipline is low in the middle school.”

A progress report is sent home before each marking period ends. I would recommend Dunellen to anyone looking for a great school system. In the coming year we will be changing Principals in the elementary school. Our new principal is an innovative and experienced woman. I am looking forward to working with her and improving Dunellen JP Faber in the coming years.I have lived in Dunellen for the past eight years and I love living here! The town and the schools are what makes Dunellen so great! We have a very dedicated PTO, and together we Keep Improving Dunellen Schools every day!”
