I am a multipurpose geek- I enjoy roleplaying of the pen-and-paper sort, comics, anime, video games (primarily RPGs), and SF/fantasy. I make costumes and jewelry when I'm not terribly stressed out. I love languages and mythology.

It's been a while since I've updated this. I'm actually on a break from being a grad student working towards a PhD in pharmaceutical science. I'm a young woman trying to survive in these crazy times and looking for someone who I can share my life with. The more of these I read, the more I realise that creating a proper (i.e., complete) profile here is a lot like work...it isn't easy to summarize a person into easily-digestible bites that fit into these boxes.

In brief, I'd say that I'm a kind of odd fellow being dragged kicking and screaming into middle-age. Rather eclectic, occasionally witty and/or sarcastic, and not at all ordinary. You probably haven't met anyone quite like me before, and I doubt that you ever will again. This isn't arrogance but a simple statement of fact, and one that applies equally well to everyone else you've ever met, since we're all unique in one way or another. I have a very calm exterior, but you probably know the saying, "Still waters run deep...." You can expect that there is a lot going on underneath the surface that you'll have to discover as we go along.

I have a wide range of interests and hobbies outside my profession, and indulge them whenever I get the chance - well, as long as it's not too inconvenient, since I will admit to being a bit lazy at times. That said, I will sometimes go to great lengths to do something that seems trivial, like driving several hours just to have a picnic lunch somewhere scenic and maybe take a few photos along the way, or spending a long weekend riding a long-distance train somewhere and coming right back with only enough time at the destination to catch the return train, just for the pleasure of the trip and what I might see along the way.

In a perfect world, Iâ??d be able to date myself. But the reality is, I think Iâ??m out of my league. Iâ??ve actually winked at myself a few times on here, but never got any response. That could be in part because winks are just another way of saying "Hey, I'm too lazy to write you." So maybe one of these days Iâ??ll get up the courage to send myself an email â?¦

But seriously, let's see, I'm snazzy, a good speller (try to find a spelling error), and am a pretty good catch if I do say so myself. I tend to be sarcastic (except about being a great catch), and pride myself on being humble. I have a dry sense of humor, am always a gentleman, and am rarely in a bad mood.

I love the beach, learning random things, road trips, dancing, eating sushi, and going to the gym.

Oh, and sometime in the near future I'd love to go skydiving, go backpacking through Europe, and hopefully meet a girl equally as fun and sarcastic.

I graduated from Rutgers and I'm a big fan of their football team. I'm also a Jets, Yankees, and Rangers fan, but my favorite sports team is Liverpool of the English Premier League. I like watching TV - House, Scrubs, Law & Order: SVU, Psych, Monk, and Burn Notice. I play a lot of sports - tennis, soccer, skateboarding, football, basketball, and bowling, but that's not really a sport. I mainly like classic rock - The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, some metal (mostly Power) - Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, and Heavely, and some classical.
